What can we learn from this chart? The two most expensive carpet cleaners that we reviewed offer the best warranties, by far. Nothing else can touch the 5 year warranty on the Big Green machine or the 6 year warranty on the Hoover Platinum.
The only model that doesn’t have a hose with hand tool is the Quicksteamer, but that is understandable as it is sold as a portable, quick cleaner machine.
The capacity of the water tanks doesn’t vary too much. The larger models however have larger tanks (once again the Big Green Machine and the Hoover Platinum).
Cleaning path width varies quite a bit, this might be worth scrutinizing depending on your situation. The heating features are nice on some of the models too. Overall, you really can’t go wrong with any of these machines. We would suggest avoiding the Quicksteamer unless you need a small machine for spot cleaning. All the other machines will work well as home/apartment workhorses for excellent carpet cleaning.
